Mitch Raymond, Founder
Mitch started building and designing at a young age. His aptitude for art and creation drove him to study art history and restoration in Florence, Italy. In his career, he has held positions with some of the country’s largest development companies like Lennar Homes. Mitch has combined his experience in the art and development fields for his true passion: creating timber framed homes with his family in the Blue Ridge North mountains. Mitch has been building in the High Country for over 20 years and during that time has created beautiful homes. Mitch is an outdoorsman who loves hiking with his children, Britt & David, and his dogs, Finn & Marley.
Karen Raymond, Operations Manager
Karen Raymond worked as an information technology specialist for over 30 years. She now utilizes her technical expertise with Green Life Construction & Restoration. She has a Master in Information Technology, and throughout her long career she has developed a strong ability for project management, organization and technical interfacing. She runs the back office and continues to look for opportunities to improve the experience for our clients. However, Karen’s most loved job is being mother to Britt & David and wife to Mitch.
Ruben Tapanes, General Contractor
Ruben was born and raised in Miami, Florida and moved to the North Carolina High country in 2006. Ruben is the Qualifying General Contractor for Green Life Construction & Restoration. Ruben has been in the field of residential and commercial construction since 1998 and obtained his NC Residential General Contractors license in 2007. Ruben is not only the General Contractor but he also is very active in the field offering a variety of hands-on skills. He wears the contractor’s tool belt at any moment to make sure the end result is the best we can deliver to our clients. This expertise brings quality and beauty to our products. Ruben is bilingual English & Spanish and has built a great relationship with our team in the field and with our clients.
Finn, Mascot & Client Greeter
Finn specializes in bringing joy to our clients and team. He is a loyal and adorable member of the Raymond family. He reminds us daily to enjoy the beautiful region we live and work in. Finn's favorite part of the job is meeting and getting pets from clients. Outside of work, Finn loves playing fetch and riding in the truck with his dad Mitch.
